Erin is a dedicated and passionate dental hygienist with a strong commitment to patient care and education. She completed her dental assisting program at Durham College with honours in 2017-2018 and then went on to complete her dental hygiene diploma with honours from 2018-2021.
Since graduating, Erin has been an integral part of the team at Markville/Pringle Creek dental, where she has been working since August 2021. Growing up in Oshawa, she was eager to practice in a more diverse community, which led her to choose Markville. The practice’s focus on a wide range of dental services and its supportive team provided the perfect environment for both professional growth and learning. She’s grateful for the opportunity to continue expanding her skills in such a dynamic office.
Erin has a particular interest in orthodontics and enjoys working with patients with special needs, providing them with compassionate and individualized care. She is also currently pursuing her undergraduate degree, with the goal of eventually teaching and instructing dental hygiene at the college level.
In addition to her clinical work, Erin is an active member of the Ontario Dental Hygienists’ Association (ODHA). She regularly participates in continuing education courses, including those on periodontal staging and grading, the effects of cannabis and tobacco on oral health, and the impact of pregnancy on oral health.
Outside of her professional life, Erin is a sports enthusiast and played varsity soccer in college, continuing to enjoy the game regularly. She also loves spending time with her family and has a passion for travelling. Having recently moved to Richmond Hill, she’s excited to explore her new community while continuing to contribute to the diverse, growing dental environment at Markville/PCD.
