Dr. Rahim Damji received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry in 2000 after completing an Honours Bachelor of Science degree at the same institution. As part of his dental training, he completed a two-month rotation in Allegheny General Hospital’s Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department, where he helped treat complicated head and neck trauma cases under some of the division’s top surgeons.
After graduation, Dr. Damji was chosen for a General Dentistry Residency at Sunnybrook Hospital. He also obtained training in oral pathology and oral and maxillofacial surgery and gained significant experience in treating patients with serious medical conditions.
Dr. Zahra Damji laid a solid scholarly groundwork in Life Sciences with her Honours Bachelor of Science, before going on to graduate with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto in 2000. Since then, she has built a fulfilling professional life offering all kinds of dental treatments ranging from general restorative dentistry to cosmetic dentistry, root canal treatment, and orthodontics.
Dr. Damji is highly responsive to children and also interested in orthodontics. It encouraged her to seek additional training at the Faculty of Orthodontics Research and Education, where she graduated in 2010. To provide additional care to fearful patients, she is also trained to administer light sedation, providing a relaxing and pain-free experience during treatment.
Dr. Edward Shun earned his Bachelor of Medical Sciences with an Honors Specialization in Pathology (with distinction) from the University of Western Ontario in 2017. He continued his education at the University of Toronto, graduating from dental school in 2021. During his studies, he was awarded the J.N. Wilkinson Prize in 2018 for achieving the highest mark in microbiology amongst first-year dental students.
In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Shun demonstrated a commitment to community service. During dental school, he volunteered with the On Your Mark academic support program. Similarly, during his undergraduate studies, he volunteered with Frontier College (now United for Literacy). Both programs focused on helping elementary school students with their studies.
Dr. Benson Naman earned an honours degree in human health science from Ontario Tech University in Oshawa before continuing his dentistry study at the University of Otago in New Zealand, where he graduated with distinction in 2024. His academic background was rewarded with a highly competitive Dental Surgery Scholarship, and he was honoured to be educated in one of the world’s best-ranked dental schools. While at Ontario Tech, he also served as vice president of the pre-dental club, where he helped create a supportive network for future dental professionals.
Dr. Naman started his practice in a remote New Zealand clinic, offering desperately needed services to those without any means of access to dentists. In March 2024, he moved to Whitby, enticed by a friendly team and a patient population that reflects his principles of ethics and high-quality dentistry.
