Dr. Rahim Damji -

 Dentist

Dr. Rahim Damji earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Dentistry in 2000. Before becoming a dentist, he completed an Honours Bachelor of Science degree at the same university.

During his dental studies, Dr. Damji had the opportunity to train for two months at Allegheny General Hospital in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department. There, he worked alongside experienced surgeons on complex cases involving head and neck injuries. After graduating, he was chosen for a General Dentistry Residency at Sunnybrook Hospital, where he received advanced training in oral diseases, surgery, and treating patients with serious health conditions.

Dr. Damji was a Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists in 2012 upon completion of a dental implant educational program from the Misch International Implant Institute. He has also enhanced his expertise through continuing implant education, such as the “All-on-Four” procedure by Dr. Michael Pikos. He also includes training in soft tissue grafting to rehabilitate gum disease. In 2014, he also acquired IV moderate sedation certification so that he could do more complex procedures and maintain the patients in a comfortable state.

Today, Dr. Damji owns and operates two dental clinics: Markville Dental in Markham and Pringle Creek Dental in Whitby. Outside of his dental practice, Dr. Damji is active in the dental community. He is president of the Abulcasis National Dental Alliance, a not-for-profit organization that provides educational programs, mentorship, and aid to third-world dental students by donating dental material and equipment. He is passionate about volunteering and would want to contribute his skills and expertise to East African and Central Asian communities.

Dr. Damji is a member of the Toronto Crown and Bridge Study Club and the Ontario Dental Association. He spends his leisure time with his two young sons and his wife, Dr. Zahra Damji. He loves skiing and also skates and plays baseball.
